Lucas Elijah Maxwell

I got talked into applying for KSU and got in...so now I guess I'm an incoming freshman. I just got my dorm assignments, George Weasley and Addie Singer. I would've liked to have been roomed with my friend Adam, but at least he's on the next floor, so I guess that's not so bad.

Besides, college is all about meeting new people, right? I'm sure George and Addie are nice. I hope George and Addie are nice...

You'd think that I'd be good with people. I'm an actor and I've been on a kid's show since I was nine. I should know how to interact and be outgoing and perky and bubbly, right?

Yeah, not so much...

So, I got my first kiss last night.

He ran away two seconds after it ended. Guess all that pillow practice didn't help, huh?

It's a new year, and with it comes new things. For me, personally, that means starting public school. Come tomorrow, I'm going to be a high school senior. Is the thought terrifying? Maybe a little. I've never attended public school or even private. I was taught on set by a private tutor.

I'm excited and nervous. I've heard conflicting reports on school. My older brother and sister both went to public school, and my best friend is a senior too. He, of course, doesn't like school, complains about it all the time, but Bran -- that's my brother -- seems to like it.

Christmas was good. I enjoyed spending it with my family. I hope that everyone else had a great Christmas too. New Year's Eve passed quietly. Last year, I would've gone to a swanky party, so it was nice to spend it at home this year. I kinda liked being able to ring in the new year while wearing my pajamas. I could easily see that becoming a new tradition.

Phew, I think I've finally gotten all my stuff unpacked. Who knew moving was so difficult? I guess it should be pretty obvious though, right? You're basically packing all of your worldly possessions into boxes, carrying them to a new location and then unpacking them and filing them away.

Needless to say, I'm tired, so this is a short entry. Maybe you'll get more pearls of wisdom from me next time.
